Tell us how you feel about the school Dress Code. What is your opinion on School Uniforms? Why do you think it is necessary or unnecessary to wear school uniforms? Do you think that students are reacting properly to mandatory school uniforms? What do you think is the effect of mandatory school uniforms? What suggestions do you have to improve the Uniform/Dress Code at East Orange Campus High School?

      I feel the school dress code is kind of stupid. Telling people they can not wear their hoodies and sweaters is completely wrong. I don't really care about wearing the khaki pants and gray polo shirts, but I'm a cold person and I need my hoodies or my sweaters to keep me warm. It is wrong to say that we can only wear gray sweaters if we decide to wear sweaters because the school doesn't know everyone's situation. Not everyone has gray sweaters and to tell them to wear them is wrong, especially if they are a cold person. They don't know if that purple or orange sweater is the only sweater they have, so they should get rid of that policy. Also, it's not always warm in the school or sometimes it's not warm enough for everyone because everyone has different reactions to being cold.
      The whole idea of wearing uniforms isn't a bad one, even though in a way it takes away a student's individuality. Uniforms are good because students are harsh and with the uniforms, everyone is basically wearing the same thing, so you don't really know who has more this and that. It's completely irrelevant who has what because everyone has the same clothes on. With the uniforms, it makes it easier for everyone because you never really have to worry about students talking about other students based on their clothes or shoes.
     I feel that the East Orange Campus High School's uniforms are a waste of time. If the school was going to have uniforms, they should've come up with an organized one instead of just saying wear khaki pants and gray polo shirts. No matter how organized the school might think the uniforms are, they aren't. You see people wearing all different types of shades of khakis and gray polo shirts. If the school came up with an organized uniform, like most schools did over the summer, the students might compromise with the dress code better. Most other schools that have uniforms have sweaters that you can buy to wear with the uniform, unlike East Orange Campus High School.
